ASBrits College was founded on 18 March 2019 with a mission to provide quality education to international students who might otherwise struggle to afford the high tuition fees of UK public universities. The college was established by Mr. Shahid Hafeez, a prominent figure in the higher education sector and the owner of the SI-UK franchise, which specializes in recruiting international students for public universities across the UK. The initial aim of ASBrits College was to bridge the gap in access to quality higher education by offering affordable alternatives without compromising on academic standards. However, shortly after its inception, the college faced a significant challenge in the form of the COVID-19 pandemic, which disrupted traditional educational systems worldwide. Recognising the need for innovation, the college explored the possibility of offering online courses to ensure continuity and adaptability in its educational delivery. Due to his commitments with the international student recruitment business, Mr. Hafeez sought a strategic partnership to operationalise the college effectively. He partnered with Knowledge Edge UK a private limited company with a 40 percent share in the company, a knowledge Edge company with over 14 years of experience in UK higher education. Together, ASBrits and Knowledge Edge developed a roadmap to secure ASIC accreditation and to establish partnerships with UK universities, ensuring that the college meets high academic and operational standards.

Mr. Hafeez’s dedication to education extends beyond administration; he is also a researcher whose work has garnered attention within the higher education sector. One of his research papers, focusing on three decades of UK higher education with an emphasis on private institutions, has been recognised for its insightful contribution to the industry.
